NEWARK, DE – The No. 24 Maryland baseball team dropped a 6-3 decision to the Delaware Blue Hens on Tuesday afternoon at Bob Hannah Stadium. The Terps (13-3) held an early 3-0 lead but only collected two hits and couldn't muster enough offense in the end to complete the comeback.
Maryland managed to load the bases in the ninth inning, but couldn't push any of them home.
Kevin Keister and
Chris Alleyne collected RBIs in the second inning as Keister hit a sacrifice fly, and Alleyne poked a single through the right side with the bases loaded.
Nick Lorusso would follow that up with a bases-loaded walk.
On the mound,
Logan Ott was efficient as the starter as he retired nine straight batters to start the game.

The Blue Hens reeled off six straight runs between the fourth and eighth innings as the Terps offense went cold.
