Garrett Nixon, a 2015 graduate of the University of Maryland, was promoted to Associate Director for Annual Giving in September 2021. He enters his 11th school year with Maryland in 2024-25.
Nixon's primary responsibilities include working with donors in Prince George’s, Anne Arundel, Howard, and Baltimore counties, as well as Baltimore City. In addition, Nixon works closely with growing the Terrapin Club Young Alumni Program.
Nixon served as Assistant Director of Annual Giving (2018-21), Development Coordinator (2016-18), Development Assistant (2015-16) and Terrapin Club intern (2014-15) before assuming this full-time role.
Nixon comes from a family of Terps, as the son of Robert ‘82 and brother of Chrissy ‘13. Nixon received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Maryland in 2015.
Born in Crownsville Md., Nixon now resides in Baltimore. He likes to run, golf, and vacation in Ocean City.
