Shipman Named Pitcher of the Week

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland sophomore pitcher Kelly Shipman was named Southern Atlantic Softball Alliance Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season as she led the Terrapins to a two-game defeat over UNC-Charlotte. Shipman, a Huntingtown, Md. product, pitched a complete game shutout, allowing just one hit and walking three batters in the 5-0 second-game victory. She also fanned 13 batters.
