Maryland (11-18) will be well-represented at the Southeast Regional as four of the five individual spots were earned by the Terps.
A look at each of the Terrapins' qualifiers:
- Junior Megyn Byrnes is a second-team All-EAGL Selection in both the bars and all-around events. At the EAGL Championships, she finished tied for 10th on the beam with a 9.8 and sixth in the all-around with a 38.8.
- Freshman Rachel Dolbin was a model of consistency for the Terps this season. She was named the EAGL Outstanding Rookie Gymnast and was Maryland's nominee as the EAGL Gymnast of the Year. She holds or shares three Terrapin individual records on the beam (9.850), the floor (9.850) and the all-around (39.250). Dolbin also tied for sixth at the EAGL Championships on the bars with a 9.85. She joins Byrnes on the All-EAGL second team in the bars and all-around events.
- Junior Stacy Breidenbach shares the Terrapin individual beam record with Dolbin and is a first-team All-EAGL Selection in the event. Breidenbach is also a member of the EAGL All-Academic Team.
- Sophomore Jenny Engel was an integral part of the Terps' success this season as she took on a substantially larger role compared to her freshman campaign. She easily shattered all of her personal records set in her freshman season and became the Terps' fourth all-arounder in the middle part of the season.
