Pratt Retains Lead In NCAA Field Hockey Assists

College Park, Md.--Junior midfielder Jen Pratt (Greene, N.Y.) continues to lead all NCAA Division I field hockey players in assists, with 21, through the first five weeks of the season, according to the national statistics released today. Two weeks ago, when the statistics were last released, she led the NCAA with 15 assists.

Pratt has at least one assist in all 12 games this season, leading the Terps to a fifth-place ranking and a record of 11-1. She has also scored two goals.

Several other Terps are also ranked among the national statistical leaders. Senior forward Lynsey McVicker (Balleymoney, Northern Ireland) is ninth in total points (35) and fourth in assists (15), senior forward Nadine Bennett (Chegutu, Zimbabwe) is tied for ninth with 14 goals and senior goalie Alana Eliwatt (East Brunswick, N.J.) is ranked fourth in goals against average (0.677 per game).

Maryland's next game is tonight at sixth-ranked James Madison (10-2) beginning at 7:30 P.M.
