Tagliente Named ACC Field Hockey Co-Player of the Week

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Freshman forward Carla Tagliente (Cortland, N.Y.) has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Co-Player of the Week. She shares the honor with Wake Forest midfielder Jenny Everett.

Last week, Tagliente scored six goals in three games, as the Terps ran their record to 6-0. After scoring two goals against Towson State last Wednesday and a goal against Boston College on Friday, she recorded her first career natural hat trick by scoring three unanswered goals against Boston University on Sunday.

Tagliente currently ranks fourth in the ACC with nine goals for the season and fifth in the ACC with 20 points.
