Cullen Named ACC Player of the Year
Four others Earn All-ACC Honors
ORLANDO, Fla.- Maryland senior defender
Leo Cullen was named ACC Player of the Year last night at the 11th annual Atlantic Coast Conference awards banquet held at Disney World in Orlando, Fla. Cullen was named to the First Team All-ACC team, his third consecutive honor.
Joining Cullen on the First Team is jumior forward
Pierre Venditti. Three Terps earned Second Team All-ACC honors, including junior midfielder
Keith Beach, junior forward
Judah Cooks and senior defender
R.T. Moore. It marked Beach's second consecutive Second Team selection, while it was Venditti's, Cooks' and Moore's first such honor.
Jason Moore of Virginia was named ACC Rookie of the Year while John Rennie of Duke was tabbed ACC Coach of the Year.
Maryland and Duke each placed five players on the team.
