Maryland's Cooks Named ACC Player Of The Week

COLLEGE PARK, MD - Maryland junior midfielder Judah Cooks (Bethesda, Md.) was tabbed Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week for men's soccer after impressive performances at last weekend's Diadora/3 Brothers Classic.

Cooks scored two goals and one assist in two wins for the Terrapins last week. He contributed one goal in the team's 3-2 victory over Santa Clara on Friday. Cooks then recorded a goal and then delivered the game-winning assist as Maryland defeated Howard 3-2 in overtime to claim the Diadora/3 Brothers Classic title. For his efforts, he was named Offensive Most Valuable Player.

The second-ranked Terps return to Ludwig Field on Saturday for the rematch with ACC rival Virginia at 7 p.m.
