IOWA CITY, IA – Iowa scored two runs in the bottom seventh inning to capture a 2-1 victory over Maryland in the final game of the three-game series. The Hawkeyes, who were held at bay for the first six innings, tallied those two late runs to move to 27-17 overall and 8-6 in the Big Ten. The Terps are now 29-13 overall and 6-8 in conference games.
Courtney Wyche was strong in the circle, throwing the first 6.1 innings, striking out three and only surrendering four hits.
Maryland scored its first run of the game as Kiley Goff crossed home on an error that occurred after a Trinity Schlotterbeck single in the sixth inning.
Mackense Greico had two hits for the Terps while Michaela Jones and Taylor Liguori had the other knocks.

- Schlotterbeck put Maryland on the board in the sixth inning with an infield single to score Kiley Goff. That was the only run of the game.
- Iowa tied the game at 1-1 as Anna Streff singled to third base to score Rylie Moss with two outs in the bottom of the seventh. The Hawkeyes walked off the game as Nia Carter singled home Klosterman in the bottom of the seventh.
