Box Score LYNCHBURG, VA – No. 23 Maryland overtook Ball State, 10-2, to continue its winning ways. The Terps (18-4 overall) have now won nine games in a row for their longest win streak since winning 13 in a row in 2011.
After facing an early deficit, the Terps offense took command for the remainder of the game. Amelia Lech led the charge, going 2-for-2 with two runs scored and four RBIs, including a three-RBI double.
The Terps walked-off the game as Campbell Kline singled home Lech and Jaeda McFarland in the bottom of the fifth inning to end the game. Four Terps had two hits in the game including Lech, Megan Mikami, Mackense Greico and Trinity Schlotterbeck.
Wyche battled for 4.1 innings in the circle, tossing six strikeouts and only allowing two runs. Keira Bucher came in for relief to retire the last two batters.
Ball State moved to 10-11 on the season.

Then Schlotterbeck singled to left field, allowing Lech to score.
- Maryland added to its lead in the fifth inning, starting with a Kiley Goff RBI single to drive in Woods. Goff's hit also advanced Mikami, who touched home off a Sydney Lewis bunt. With the bases loaded, Courtney Kline singled to drive in Lech and McFarland.
