Maryland improved to 9-1 on the season, equaling its best start to a year since the 2012 season, when it was also 9-1.
Schlotterbeck (5-0 this season) pitched the first Terps' perfect game since Maddie Martin threw a five-inning perfecto against Howard on March 27, 2013. It was the seventh perfect game in school history and 38th overall no-hitter. The last no-hitter came on March 12, 2016 as Brenna Nation blanked Saint Louis. Schlotterbeck stuck out eight, one shy of her career-high.
The Terps' offense continued its onslaught this season as Amelia Lech hit her team-high fourth home run with a two-run blast. Jaeda McFarland went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBIs along with two stolen bases.
Sammi Woods drove in a run with an RBI double and scored a run.
Overall, the Terps stole seven bases with Megan Mikami (1-for-3 with three runs scored) and Mackense Greico both swiping two in addition to McFarland. Michaela Jones (1-for-1) also had a steal. Schlotterbck had the Terps' other hit.
