Box Score COLLEGE PARK, MD – The No. 21 Maryland baseball team won its eighth consecutive game to open the season, downing the Delaware Blue Hens by a score of 14-4 on Tuesday afternoon at Bob 'Turtle' Smith Stadium.

Logan Ott started the game, striking out three over 4.2 innings pitched.
Troy Schreffler Jr. hit his first home run of the season, giving the Terps an early 4-0 lead that they never relinquished.
Nick Lorusso collected two hits on the afternoon and also pitched a clean seventh and eighth inning with three strikeouts.
Maxwell Costes hit a two-run home in the eighth inning, scoring Zmarzlak and sparking a five-run eighth inning.
Maryland broke the game open in the later innings, combining for eight runs in the seventh and eighth.

- 2: Jacob Orr hit a two-run double in his first career at-bat, bringing home Maxwell Costes and Schreffler Jr. Kevin Keister also reached base via walk twice. Luke Shliger was also hit by two pitches on the day.
- 3: Schreffler Jr. and Maxwell Costes both had three RBIs on the day.
- 4: Schreffler Jr. had four hits in total on the day, the first four-hit day of his career. His first time reaching the feat this season and the last time coming in last season's finale against East Carolina.
