
Maryland Athletics Wins Six 2025-26 CSC Fred Stabley Sr. District Writing Awards

The University of Maryland Athletics' Strategic Communications and Content Development unit earned six 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Fred Stabley Sr. District Writing Awards, announced on May 12.
The writing contest recognizes the top writing and storytelling content across eight categories, including one for undergraduate student entries. It honors winners in eight districts, with Maryland falling under District 2, alongside Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. The awards are also broken up into NCAA Division I and College divisions.

In addition to the six district winners, the Terps were awarded four runner-up nods, bringing the total to 10 honors.
Runner-ups:
District winners advance to the national ballot, with national winners in each of the eight categories to be announced later this month. All writing had to have an original publish date between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2025, to be eligible.
