This is Maryland Water Polo
One of the programs on the rise nationally is Maryland water polo.

Under the direction of head coach Carl Salyer and assistant Serela Kay, the Terps matched their best-ever finish in 2011 by claiming third place at the CWPA Eastern Championship and coming within a game of reaching the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history.

Maryland was also 17th in the final 2011 CWPA national poll, its best showing in the eight years of the program’s existence.

Maryland water polo also excels in the classroom and has been active in the community. From 2009-10, there were 18 players honored nationally for their outstanding academic performance.
