COLLEGE PARK, Md. -

Junior Lisa Scott has been named to COBRA Magazine's All-East Region team, the magazine announced earlier this month in its December issue.

Dedicated to highlighting volleyball players of African descent in hopes of inspiring others to pick up the sport, COBRA Magazine selected Lisa Scott as one of 15 members of its All-East Region Team.

A middle-blocker from McLean, Va., Scott finished 2010 with a team-high .338 attack percentage, fifth-best in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Scott also chipped in 259 total kills, second-most on the Terrapins' squad this season.

A solid defender as well, Scott recorded a team-high 118 total blocks (17 solo). With her senior season upcoming, Scott has a chance to move drastically up the charts in school history. Scott already ranks eight at Maryland with 346 career blocks and sixth with 71 solo blocks.
