    The Terrapin volleyball team finishes its regular season Friday when it travels to Florida State for a 7 p.m. match in Tully Gymnasium. The Terrapins, who would clinch a second-place finish in the ACC with a win over the Seminoles, are coming off their first back-to-back losses of the season and stand at 22-7 overall, 11-4 in the conference.

    Terps in the ACC and national rankings
    Rachel Wagener continues to lead the ACC in blocks per game with an average of 1.61, and is fourth in the nation in the category. Here is a breakdown of players ranked in the ACC and nation:

    The Terrapins, as a team, lead the conference in blocks (3.06 per game, 12th nationally) and are second in hitting percentage (.273, 18th nationally), assists (14.65 per game) and kills (16.20).

    Records Watch
    Aimee Huddleston is poised to break the Maryland school record for assists in a season. The setter has tallied 1,390 assists so far this season, and needs just 16 more to surpass the mark of 1,405 set by Eden Kroeger in 1994. Rachel Wagener, who has amassed 176 total blocks on the year, is 11 blocks shy of breaking the single season record of 187 set by Sheila Farrow in 1985. Janice Kruger is one win away from her 300th at Maryland, 675th overall, victory.

    Florida State Seminoles
    The Seminoles enter the weekend at 14-14 (4-10 ACC) and fell at Clemson (1-3) and No. 7 Georgia Tech (0-3) last weekend. Prior to the two conference losses, FSU had won three straight wins over South Florida, North Carolina and NC State. Kristen Rust recorded back-to-back double-doubles against Clemson and Georgia Tech, which marked her first career double-double. Aisha Carr currently leads the team with 110 blocks, while Amanda Santos (103) is fourth in the ACC in blocks averaging 1.24 bpg. Senior setter Jennifer Anderson has 707 assists (7.80 apg) on the season and is just 33 assists away from becoming FSU's all-time leader in career assists.

    Maryland leads the all-time series with Florida State, 16-11, including a three-game victory earlier this year in Comcast Center Gymnasium. In that Oct. 11 match, Terp junior Maria DiLivio led all players with 15 kills and 13 digs. Florida State is coached by Todd Kress.
