Maryland Downs N.C. State in Five Games

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The University of Maryland volleyball team, ranked No. 20, collected its 10th win of the season last night, and improved to 2-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference, with a five-game win over N.C. State, 15-6, 15-9, 18-16, 15-7, 15-12.

Senior setter and All-America candidate Eden Kroeger became Maryland's all-time assist leader after posting 74 assists. She needed 11 coming into Sunday's contest. Freshman outside hitter Katie Jentes posted a team-high 24 kills while junior middle hitter Jaime Summers hit a team-high .345 with 15 kills.

The Terps return home for a Tuesday, September 30 matchup with James Madison at Ritchie Coliseum.
