Maryland Wins Ninth Straight, Defeats North Carolina 3-0

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- The University of Maryland volleyball team ran its record to 9-0 this afternoon, defeating North Carolina in three games, 15-4, 15-13 and 15-12. The win also improves the Terps to 1-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Freshman Katie Jentes and junior Kim Adolphs each posted 15 kills apiece while senior All-America candidate Eden Kroeger tossed up 50 assists and led the Terps on defense with 16 digs. Adolphs also added 13 digs. Senior Conya Jabari-Kitwala netted four blocks on the afternoon to lead the team at the net.

Maryland returns to ACC action tomorrow when they play N.C. State at 5 p.m.
