Maryland Knocks Off North Carolina State

Runs Record to 24-0

COLLEGE PARK, MD-- Junior middle hitter Jaime Summers recorded a team-high 13 kills, while hitting .692 and senior All-America candidate Eden Kroeger tallied 42 assists to lead the Terrapins to a 15-8, 15-10, 15-0 victory at Ritchie Coliseum.

Summers led a Terrapin attack that included two others in double-digit kills, senior All-America candidate Elizabeth Efron (10) and junior Kim Adolphs (12). Efron also scored four service aces and recorded 15 digs. Senior Conya Jabari-Kitwala led Maryland with 17 digs.

For the Wolfpack, junior Laura Kimbrell had team-highs with 12 kills and 18 digs in a losing effort.

The Terps improved their record to 24-0 overall, 15-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference as North Carolina State fell to 10-21 overall, 3-12 in the ACC.

Maryland finishes its regular season tomorrow night versus the North Carolina Tarheels at 5 p.m in Ritchie Coliseum.
