No. 16 Maryland Survives Late Clemson Rally to Win in Five Games

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland senior right side hitter Elizabeth Efron recorded a season-high 25 kills and hit a team-high .354 to lead the 16th-ranked Terrapins to a 15-10, 10-15, 15-5, 14-16, 15-9 win over Clemson on Friday night at Ritchie Coliseum. The Terps improve to 20-0 overall, 11-0 in the ACC, while Clemson falls to 19-5 overall, 7-5 in the ACC.

Senior setter Eden Kroeger knotted 66 assists and recorded a career-high 27 digs to lead the Terps defensively. She also posted four blocks. Junior middle hitter Jaime Summers continued to shine offensively as she pounded down 17 kills and hit .289. Junior Kim Adolphs had 19 digs as the Terps outdug the Tigers, 103-87.

Maryland returns to action tomorrow night, hosting Georgia Tech at 5 p.m. in Ritchie Coliseum.
