Maryland Downs Duke in Five Games

Extends Streak to 29 Straight

DURHAM, N.C. -- The No. 17-ranked Maryland Terrapins extended their ACC regular-season match winning streak to 29 after downing Duke in five games on Thursday night, 8-15, 15-7, 10-15, 15-10, 15-10.

Junior middle hitter Jaime Summers hit a team-high .455 after pounding down 18 kills on 33 swings. Senior right-side hitter Elizabeth Efron, and a 1997 All-America candidate, finished the night with a team-high 21 kills. Senior setter Eden Kroeger recorded 58 assists and posted 14 digs. Junior outside hitter Kim Adolphs led all Terps on defense with 16 digs. The Terps are now 18-0 overall, 9-0 in the ACC, and play Wake Forest Friday night at 7 p.m. in Winston-Salem, N.C.
