As a Freshman (2012): Came on strong during the last month of the season tallying all of her 43 kills over the last 10 matches...averaged a team-high 0.43 service aces per set...finished with 35 total blocks (4 BS, 31 BA)...had 10 kills on 10 attack attempts, and added four blocks and two service aces at Virginia Tech (11/10)...finished with seven kills and four blocks against Duke (11/4)...served up a career-best six aces against Wake Forest (11/2)...tallied career bests, at the time, in kills (7) and service aces (3) against Clemson (10/28)...blocked a personal-best seven attacks in Maryland's win over Georgia Tech (10/26)...made her season debut against New Hampshire (8/25).
Before Maryland: Starred for the Heritage Pride in Leesburg, Va...led the Pride to the Virginia AAA Cedar Run District title and Northwest Region title as a junior, and earned second team all-district honors...helped Heritage finish second in the AA Dulles District as a senior earning a spot on the Dulles All-District second team and led the Washington D.C. metro area in blocks...ranked by 47th by PrepVolleyball.com in the class of 2012, and ranked 16th among middle blockers...named to the 2011-12 Under Armour All-America Watch List...voted a 2011 Virginia Gatorade Player of the Year finalist...played her club volleyball for Virginia Elite Volleyball Club and helped the club win back-to-back Chesapeake Region titles in 2010 and 2011...earned an invite to the 2010 United State Women's Junior National Team A3 camp...voted the 2011 Virginia Elite team "Excellence Award" winner by the coaching staff.
Personal: Daughter of Charles and Ruth-Anne...has one younger brother, Stephen...mother, Ruth-Anne, played tennis at Penn State Altoona...is currently enrolled as a letters & sciences major...choose Maryland over Boston College, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Michigan, NC State, South Carolina and Wake Forest...a member of the National Honor Society...volunteered over 100 hours towards community service activities as a senior at Heritage.
