Terrapins Drop Match to No. 38 Virginia, 6-1
March 28, 2008 COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland women's tennis team lost to No. 38 Virginia Friday afternoon, 6-1, at the Tennis Center at College Park. The Terrapins (3-12, 0-6) lost all three doubles matches and five singles matches, before freshman Oksana Krutiyenko took control to win her No. 6 match over Hampton Williams, 6-4, 6-4. Sophomore Lisa Miller forced her match in to a third set, before losing to Maggie Yahner at the No. 4 slot. After losing the first set, 3-6, she won the second, 6-1, and then lost in the third, 7-5. The Terrapins will play host to Virginia Tech Sunday morning at the Tennis Center at College Park. The match is scheduled for 10 a.m. Virginia 6, Maryland 1 Singles
