Randy De Guzman is in his first season as an assistant for the Maryland women's tennis team.

De Guzman arrives in College Park after coaching the varsity and junior varsity tennis teams at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C. for one season. A native of the Philippines, De Guzman also coached the Ashburn Sports Pavilion's United States Tennis Association (USTA) adult team. Since 2006, De Guzman has coached and assisted with the junior tennis program at Skyline Sports and Health.

After spending the fall tennis season at Southern Illinois University in 1996, De Guzman transferred to Ateneo de Manila in the Philippines where he won the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) national championship.

After graduating Ateneo de Manila with a bachelor's degree in management information systems, De Guzman coached several nationally ranked players in the Philippines.

As a junior player, De Guzman was ranked No. 1 at four different age groups (U12, U14, U16, U18) and competed on the International Tennis Federation's (ITF) Asian Circuit from 1992-96.

De Guzman's full name is Ronaldo Paolo A. de Guzman.
