Terps Swim Past Spiders

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland women's swimming and diving team captured a win at home against the Richmond Spiders, 150-121, on Saturday, January 12.
The Terps had an impressive showing in the 200-yard freestyle, taking the top three sports. Finkler placed first with a final time of 1:52.57, with Kathryn Snedeker (1:53.95) and Davidson (1:54.79) following close behind, respectively.
Captain Emily Smoak won the 100-yard breaststroke with a final time of 1:06.28.
Maryland's Nina Rossi captured two events for the Terps. Rossi's first win came in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:04.08. Rossi had a second victory was in the 500-yard freestyle, touching the wall first with a time of 5:00.68,
The Terps will be back in action on Saturday, January 26 when they host NC State for the ACC season opener.
