As a Sophomore (2010-11): Honorable Mention All-American in the 100 fly and 200 and 400 free relay at the NCAA Championships...established a new ACC record in the 100 fly (52.28) at the championships...set an ACC Championship record in her title swim at the league championships (52.39)...also took second in the 50 free (22.35) and third in the 100 free (48.92)... aided the 200 medley, 200 free and 400 free relays to second place finishes, as well as a third place showing in the 400 medley...all four relays set new school records...third in the 50 free, second in the 100 fly and 100 free, fourth in the 100 back, as Maryland won the Terp Cup...also guided the 200 free, 400 medley, 800 free, and 400 free relays to titles.

As a Freshman (2009-10): Competed in the 100 back and 100 free along with four relays at the 2010 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships...helped the 200 free relay (1:30.04) to a 10th place finish and a school record...notched 12th place finish in the 400 free relay (3:18.17)... also took 20th in the 200 medley relay (1:40.53) and 17th in the 800 free relay (7:15.57)...member of second place 200 free relay (1:30.05) and 400 free relay (3:17.79) at the ACC Championships...both relays earned B-cut times...also took 12th in the 100 free (50.12) and 13th in the 100 back (55.09) with B-cut times...member of winning 200 free, 400 free and 200 medley relays at the 2009 Terrapin Cup...also took sixth in the 50 free (23.72), seventh in the 100 back (57.90) and seventh in the 100 free (51.48)...boasted the second top time on the team in the 100 free (50.12) and third best in the 50 free (23.11) and 100 back (54.78)...all three times were also personal bests.

Before Maryland: Swam at Upper Dublin High School under coach Brian Palme...first team all-area selection all four years with Cardinals...also a four-time All-American...voted Outstanding High School Female Athlete in 2009...also competed with Central Bucks Swim Team where she holds team records in the 50, 100, 200 and 500 free, 100 and 200 back, and 50, 100, and 200 fly.

Personal: Daughter of Greg and Penny Lafferty...mother, Penny, played lacrosse and field hockey at Ohio University and later became a member of the US Lacrosse squad in 2002 and 2003...a four-year member of Upper Dublin's environmental education club...lists her biggest sports thrill as breaking the district record in the 100 backstroke...Letters & Sciences major...Eileen Campbell Memorial Scholarship award winner.
