As a Freshman (2008-09): Established four career bests at the 2009 ACC Championships in College Park...finished 23rd in the 100 backstroke (56.32)....also notched career bests in the 50 back (26.82), 200 back (2:02.14), and 200 IM (2:06.61)...fourth career-best time came in a 100 back prelim (55.93)...finished 16th in the 100 back (58.54) at the Terrapin Cup...also won the bonus consolation in the 200 back (2:05.97).

Before Maryland: High School All-American in the 200 IM in 2008 and finished second in the Massachusetts state finals while at Marblehead High School... Massachusetts State champion in the 100 backstroke... 16-time YMCA All- American and a junior national qualifier...also a member of the Bernal's Gator Swim Club in Waltham.

Personal: Daughter of James and Natalie Belli... father played rugby at Babson and mother played soccer at Hartwick...biggest sports thrill was winning the 200 medley relay at states...undecided on major.
