All-America Tradition
The Maryland women’s swimming and diving program has also impacted swimming nationally, with a total of 58 All-Americans, including eight at the 2010 NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships.

Jen Vogel (2009 – 200 fly), Elizabeth Lavell (2005 – 400 IM), Shandra Johnson (2003 – 200 free), April Tassi (1991, 1992 - diving), Wendy Schaper (1989 - breaststroke) and Patty Corson (1984 - backstroke) have all racked up All-America honors while 51 student-athletes have landed Honorable Mention All-America status.

Most recently, Maryland boasted eight All-America nods as the 200 and 400 free relay teams of Annie Fittin, Ginny Glover, Megan Lafferty and Laura Wright finished 10th and 12th, respectively, at the 2010 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
