Sandler then reached third on an error by the UNCC thirdbaseman and scored on a sacrifice fly by firstbaseman Holly Meehan. It was Meehan's fourth sacrifice fly of the season. Shipman was two-for-four with one RBI in the second game to support junior pitcher Tisha Killian's 12th victory of the season. Killian pitched seven innings while allowing only three hits and striking out six. Shipman single home the game winning run in the top of the second. She singled home Killian who had led the inning with a double. Rightfielder Angie Zittle smacked a two-run triple in the top of the sixth inning to give the Terps their eventual winning margin.
