As a Freshman in 2000: Began season as the starting left fielder and leadoff hitter
suffered an injury from a wild pitch in the fourth game of the season vs. Georgia at the Louisville Slugger Tournament (Feb. 5)
injury to eye and later injuries to knee and elbow forced her to miss a total of 24 games
led squad with a .398 on-base percentage and finished second in steals (3) in limited time
also paced the Terps with a .381 batting average in conference games and finished second among starters overall (.297)
tied for sixth with 15 runs scored
garnered all-tournament honors at the Louisville Slugger tourney, going 3-for-11 (.272) while scoring twice, making 13 putouts and stealing a base to help the Terps to a third-place finish

Before Maryland: A graduate of Cherokee High School in 1999
earned three letters as a member of the varsity softball team
also earned two letters as a member of the basketball team and one letter as a member of the gymnastics team

named all-state, All-South Jersey and all-conference in softball during her career
helped lead Cherokee High to the 1996 state championship and the 1998 South Jersey Group IV state championship
all-state first team in track and field
was the 1999 Group IV state champion in the long jump and jumped a career best of 181 in the event.
