Before Maryland: Played for years on varsity at Northern High School...only pitcher in Maryland high school softball history to win four championship games...named the 2011 Washington Post All-Met Player of the Year...in 2011, she led her Northern team to a perfect 22-0 record and did not allow an earned run in 111 innings...struck out 241 and allowed just 16 hits in that stretch...recorded eight no-hitters, including four perfect games, in her senior year...hit .541 at the plate with three home runs and 47 RBI as well... named to the Washington Post's All-Met Second Team in 2010 and Honorable Mention team in 2009...prior to her senior season, was one of only three athletes in MPSSAA history to record shutouts in five postseason games over her career and was one of just seven pitchers in the MPSSAA to have led her team to three state championships...played for the Severna Park Green Hornets.
