Before Maryland: Originally came to Maryland for track & field and cross country ... participated in both indoor and outdoor track for the Terps in 2007, running the 1600 and 800 ... also participated in cross country at Maryland in 2006 ... did not participate in high school softball, but helped her prep track team claim Maryland state championships in 2004 and 2006 ... lettered all four years in both track and cross country in high school, earning All-Gazette honors ... also recruited for track by St. Johns, George Washington, LaSalle and Eastern Kentucky.

Personal: Daughter of Calvin Cage and Donna Jeter-Cage ... has seven siblings - Yomeka (27), Calvin Jr. (24), Kehli (23), Kasi (15), Caleb (5), Calyanna (4) and Chene (2) ... brother Calvin Jr. was a standout basketball player at Buffalo who went on to play professionally overseas ... father is a pastor and community activist ... lists determiniation as her best athletic trait ... enjoys running, boxing and tumbling in her spare time ... gained experience as an entreprenuer while in high school ... aspires to one day be an engineer ... a physical sciences major.
