  • ACC Player of the Week (2/28/12; 4/17/12)

    As a freshman (2012): Starting catcher in all 56 games...fourth on the team in batting average with her .281 on the season...finished tied for fifth in the ACC in doubles (10)...led team in home runs (7)....also notched 33 RBI in her rookie campaign...caught 18 runners stealing, which was third-best in the league...naemd ACC Player of the Week twice (Feb. 28, April 17)...drove in RBI vs. Wisconsin to break a 0-0 score off a 3-2 count with two outs in the sixth inning (Feb. 25)...went 3-for-4 vs. Rhode Island and drove in three RBI (March 9)...in Terps' three-game sweep of Virginia, notched four hits and drove in seven RBI off two home runs (April 14-15)...had 15 multi-hit games and nine games with two or more RBI.

    Before Maryland: Four year varsity starter and scholar athlete at Canyon High School...hit .444 her senior year...named team MVP as a senior...named her team's Most Valuable Offensive Player in 2009 and 2010...also inducted into Canyon's Athletics Hall of Fame...awarded the Captain's Award for all sports at Canyon for outstanding leadership...named a Scholar Athlete...named Canyon's Most Valuable Defensive Player as a junior in 2010...1st Team All-CIF and 2nd Team All-State as a senior...four-time All-Century League honoree and was the honored catcher on the Orange County Register's All-Freshman and All-Sophomore teams...also played for the California Cruisers.

    Personal: Served as treasurer of the Society to End Poverty (S.T.E.P.)...Girls League member...chose Maryland because she loved the campus and the people...names her Aunt Tina as her heroine...also recruited by Stanford, Oklahoma State and Nevada-Reno.
