COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland Terrapin women's soccer concludes its 2008 regular season with "Senior Night" against Clemson. The Terps and the Tigers are set for a 7 p.m. start at Ludwig Field.

Scouting the Tigers
• Clemson is 5-9-1 on the season and are coming off of a 6-0 loss at No. 11 Duke last Sunday. The Tigers are 1-6-1 in the ACC and are still alive for an ACC Tournament berth.

• Offensively, Clemson is led by senior Julie Bolt, who has nine goals and one assist for 19 points. Defensively, the Tigers have allowed 36 goals in 15 games, an average of 2.4 goals per game. Sophomore keeper Paula Pritzen has started all 15 matches and has a 2.45 GAA with 75 saves.

Could It Be Another One Goal Game?
• Maryland and Clemson have a history of playing tight games including last season's 1-0 double-overtime win for the Tigers in Clemson, S.C. Overall, Maryland leads the series 9-8-1, but Clemson holds a slim 21-17 scoring advantage in the 18 games. Eleven of the last 14 games in the series have been one-goal affairs.

Senior Salute
• Thursday night's game against NC State will mark the final home match in the careers of six Maryland Terrapins. Seniors Nataly Arias, Aimee Bresani, Lauren Gamble, Stephanie MacCormack, Amanda Paizs and Kaila Sciascia will take to Ludwig Field for the final time.

Youth Movement
• In Maryland's season opening 5-0 win over George Mason, a total of 19 Terps saw the field. Of those 19, 12 were either freshmen or sophomores. Six of the Terps' starting 11 were either freshmen (2) or sophomores (4).

• Through 17 games in 2008 here's a breakdown of games played and started by class (187 possible starts):

Already A Career Year
• For Maryland senior forward Kaila Sciascia, the 2008 season has already been a career year. The native of East Northport, N.Y., has already set season bests for goals (6) and points (13) and tied her season-high of one assist.

Record-Setting Day
• Several records fell or were tied during Maryland's 10-0 romp over Mount St. Mary's on Sept. 21.

Playing Overtime
• The 0-0 tie with Eastern Kentucky last season marked the third-straight home opener that has ended in a scoreless tie. In 2005 and 2006 the Terps played to a 0-0 draw against Towson.

• During the three-plus seasons under Coach Pensky, Maryland has played 23 overtime games (33% of its total games [70]) with a record of 2-9-12 in those games.

• The Terps played eight overtime matches last season tying the program record for overtime games in a season. Maryland was 1-4-3 in OT a year ago. The 2004 team also played in eight overtime contests, going 2-2-4.

At Ludwig Field
• Since its opening in 1995, Ludwig Field has proved to be a tremendous home-field advantage for the Terps women's soccer team. All-time Maryland is 89-44-15 (.652) at Ludwig Field.

• Through the seasons, the Terps have had a knack for shutting teams out at Ludwig Field. Maryland has won 62 of its 89 victories (69.7%) at Ludwig Field via shutout. Add in the nine 0-0 ties the Terps have had at Ludwig Field and it totals 71 times that Maryland has shutout its opponent in 148 games (48.0%).

• WMUC Radio: Maryland's student radio station WMUC (88.1 FM) will broadcast most home Maryland women's soccer games in 2008 and select road games. A pregame show will air approximately 30 minutes prior to kickoff. WMUC's broadcasts can be heard live on the Internet at wmucsports.com and will be linked to umterps.com.
