Pells Featured On May-June Cover Of NSCAA's Soccer Journal

May 7, 2008

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - University of Maryland women's soccer assistant coach Laurie Pells is seen instructing a youth goalkeeper on the cover of the official publication of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, the Soccer Journal. This past January at The NSCAA Annual Coaches' Convention, Pells instructed the Goalkeeping Diploma course to aspiring coaches. The NSCAA is the largest soccer coaches' organization in the United States, with more than 26,000 members.

In addition to being an instructor for the NSCAA, Pells is a member of the US u14 National Staff. She will be in camp in July with the US u14 National Team.

This past fall, Pells helped Terrapin goalkeeper Yewande Balogun earn ACC All-Freshmen honors.
