"As a coach and as a person, all of her players admire Shannon for how she put herself out there for us and for the program. She has been an inspiration to all of us. She's made us better people, not just better players. We just want what's best for her and for her family. I respect everything about her greatly."
"Shannon has contributed so much to this program that it's hard to put it into words. She is just a special person. She's been the heart and soul of this program for the past six years. She has helped us grow as soccer players and people. She's been a big part of our lives on and off the field. We're going to miss her as a coach, and as a person. What she taught us will carry over with us even after we're finished playing. I'm confident that will also help keep this team strong and help take us to the next level."
"This was a definitely a shock to us. Shannon did so many amazing things with the program here, giving it a boost and taking it to a national-caliber program. We're going to miss her a lot. She brought us all together and it will be hard coming here every day and not seeing her. But, I trust that whoever takes over will be able to continue the work that she did and keep the program heading in the right direction."
