Women's Soccer Beats Penn State, 3-1
Harbo Hits Century Mark
COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The 18th-ranked Maryland women's soccer team (10-6-2) defeated No. 21 Penn State (14-5-1), 3-1 tonight at Ludwig Field. The game was senior night for Maryland's Michelle Deville, Michelle Salmon, and Natalie Rich.
Penn State opened the scoring up as senior midfielder Lauren Miller put a deflection into the net, 34:55 into the game.
Maryland's junior forward Emmy Harbo scored her seventh goal of the season to tie the game up at the 42:10 mark.
Deville then put the Terps ahead at the 79:30 mark in her final game at Ludwig Field.
Harbo later added her eighth goal of the season with 1:29 remaining to give the Terps a 3-1 victory.
Harbo's two goals puts her at the 100-point mark for her career with Maryland. She is now tied with teammate junior forward Keri Sarver on top of Maryland's all-time point scoring list.
Maryland will next play No. 5 Connecticut on Sunday afternoon in Storrs, Conn. The game will begin at 1:00.
