Terps Women's Soccer Topped At No. 13 Boston College, 1-0

Oct. 23, 2008

Final Stats

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The University of Maryland women's soccer team lost at No. 13 Boston College, 1-0, Thursday night.

The match was a closely fought battle that saw the Terps push the 13th-ranked Eagles to the limit. But in the end, Boston College got a goal from Julia Bouchelle in the 26th minute and that held up to be the difference in the 1-0 BC victory.

Junior keeper Mary Casey had another outstanding performance for the Terps between the pipes, making five saves. Offensively, Maryland was paced by senior midfielder Nataly Arias, who got off three shots against a solid BC defense.

Maryland (5-10-1, 1-7-0 ACC) finishes its three-game road trip with a key ACC showdown on Sunday, Oct. 26 in Raleigh, N.C. against NC State. The Terps and the Wolfpack are set for 1 p.m. start at the NC State Soccer Stadium.
