2002 Update:
On Kruse: Adds leadership as one of three seniors on the team that has earned three letters
gained significant playing time as a junior
continued to show strong development in the spring season
a tough, strong back expected to round out the defense.
As a junior (2001): Played in all 19 games, starting the final 18
third on the team in total minutes, playing 1,721 of a possible 1,801
played full-time in 15 of the final 16 regular-season matches, sitting out just four minutes
drew first start of the season in the backfield vs. Duke (9/2) and played all 90 minutes, aiding shutout
helped Terp defense to nine shutouts and a stellar 1.00 goals against average, teaming with fellow backs Lindsay Givens and Lindsay Niehaus and goalkeeper Ali Wolff for the most of the season
named to the ACC Honor Roll.
As a sophomore (2000): Played in five games
drew first college start against George Mason (9/26), when fellow Buckeye native Carly Viher was injured in pregame warmups
also played against Richmond (9/9), George Washington (9/12), Howard (10/11) and Clemson (10/13).
As a freshman (1999): Saw limited action, playing in just two games
made college debut against UMBC (9/1)
also played against Long Island (11/10) in the NCAA first round.
Before Maryland: All-state first team selection as a senior at Chagrin Falls High School in Chagrin Falls, Ohio
led team to a state championship her sophomore season
played on four district and four regional championship teams during her career
earned four varsity letters in soccer and was team captain her senior season
four-time all-conference selection
named as the Most Valuable Player of the Chagrin Valley Conference during her senior season
All-Greater Cleveland first team as a junior and senior
named all-area player of the year and first team all-area by the Cleveland Plain Dealer her senior season
also a Plain Dealer seven-county all-star as a senior
named Player of the Year as a senior by the News Herald and the Sun Herald newspapers
earned four varsity letters as a member of the basketball team and three as a member of the softball team
a member of the Internationals club team
helped lead the Internationals to six Ohio North state championships
a club teammate of Carly Viher
