2002 Update:
On King: A senior offensive starter … crafty and hard-working player … played wide forward for much of her junior season and was one of the Terps' most consistent players … gives 100 percent all the time … has an unorthodox and unpredictable style that makes her dangerous in and around the box according to Higgins-Cirovski … technically sound … quick off the turn when trying to beat defenders ... a natural finisher when she gets deep into the opponents’ defense … a dangerous weapon inside the 18-yard box … suffered from compartment syndrome this past spring, but should be ready to go this fall.
As a junior (2001): Saw action in all 19 games, starting 18 … played 1,595 of 1,801 minutes … tied Jenny Biscoe for the team lead in goals with five … also tallied three assists for 13 points -- second-most on the team behind Biscoe … scored game-winner at Duke (9/2) in seventh minute … netted first career two-goal game vs. George Washington (9/21), and her third career game-winner … assisted Biscoe’s game-winner vs. Loyola (9/30) … second assist of year vs. Rutgers (10/24) … scored fourth goal with 0:50 left at NC State (10/28) … assisted Audra Poulin’s header goal vs. Mount St. Mary's (10/31) … scored in 12th minute vs. Florida State (11/8) in the ACC Tournament.
As a sophomore (2000): Played in all 19 games, drawing two starts … finished fourth on the team in scoring with three goals and two assists for eight points … scored first goal against Duke (9/1) … scored first career game-winner against George Mason (9/27) in a 1-0 win over Patriots … posted first career multi-point game against Howard (10/11) with a goal and assist … her cross set up Sara Gustafson’s header at James Madison (10/17).
As a freshman (1999): Played in 21 of 22 games, starting four … scored in first two college games at George Washington (8/29) and vs. UMBC (9/1) … became the first Maryland freshman since Emmy Harbo, in 1995, to score in each of her first two college games … third goal of the season came at William & Mary (10/2), as she put Maryland up 2-0 in the 43rd minute … finished with 17 shots including season-high three against UCLA (9/6).
Before Maryland: Four-year letterwinner at Strath Haven High School in Media, Pa., who served as team captain her senior season … led Strath Haven to the state championship her junior season and earned team Most Valuable Player honors … named as the area player of the year as a junior by the Philadelphia Inquirer … the Delaware County News Player of the Year as a senior … closed her prep career tied for the all-time school lead for career goals … led prep team in scoring as a freshman, sophomore and junior … all-state selection in 1997 and 1998 … all-league and all-district first team as a junior and senior … led club team FC Delco to the State Cup championships in 1996, 1997 and 1999 … was the team’s leading scorer in 1999 … FC Delco reached the regional championships in 2000 … voted as State Cup tournament Most Valuable Player in 1995 and 1997 … a member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Olympic Development program from 1992-98 … a member of the U.S. Region I pool.
