COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland women's track team finished third at the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships, seventh at the ECAC Championships and won the Maryland and Terrapin Invitationals. Maryland's third-place finish at the ACC Championships in Durham, N.C., was its highest since finishing third during the 1988 outdoor conference championships. The Terps' seventh-place finish at the ECAC Championships at Princeton, N.J., was their highest since a fourth-place finish during the 1984 season. Junior Vanessa Jones (Olney, Md.) was the only member of the women's team to compete at the NCAA Championships, where she finished 17th in the high jump event.
