Before Maryland: Graduated from Middletown High School in 1999 a four-year letter winner in track and field as she participated in the pole vault, long jump and high jump an prep All-America selection in 1998 a 1999 team captain the 2A state record holder in the pole vault earned all-state honors her senior season.
