Incoming Terps Earn Numerous Honors

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Four incoming freshmen for the Maryland women's lacrosse team have been named to the South Team for the 2008 Under Armour Lacrosse Classic. Kristy Black, Grace Gaeng, Karri-Ellen Johnson, and Liz Hamilton will all take part in the game. Maryland's four signees in the game is the second highest total for any school in the country.

Three of the players are listed as midfielders. Black hails from Glenwood and attended Glenelg High School, Gaeng is from Bel Air and went to John Carroll, while Johnson hails from Annapolis and graduated from Broadneck. All three players were also named US Lacrosse High School All-Americans.

Hamilton is listed as a defender who is from Monkton and attended Roland Park CS.

The boys' and girls' North vs. South All-American games headline the 2008 Under Armour Lacrosse Classic at Towson University's Johnny Unitas Stadium on Saturday, July 12.
