Women's Lacrosse Tops William and Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Paced by Sascha Newmarch with four goals and one assist, third-ranked Maryland defeated seventh-ranked William and Mary, 16-7, in women's lacrosse action.
Noelle Mitchell led the Terps in the early going, scoring three consecutive goals in a 6-0 run of a 12-minute stretch. The Tribe, led by Lindsay Rademaker's hat trick, tallied the last three goals of the opening stanza to trail 8-5 at intermission.
Maryland dominated second half action as Cathy Nelson took over scoring duties with three goals. This concludes regular season play for W&M (8-7).
