Terps Compete in Local Quad Meet

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland gymnastics team takes a quick road trip to Washington, D.C., Sunday to compete against host George Washington, Kent State and West Virginia. The meet is set for 3:00 p.m. at the Smith Center.

Last Time Out
• The 37th-ranked University of Maryland gymnastics team posted a season-best team score of 193.250 as the Terrapins placed third at the Tar Heel Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C. last Sunday.
• Sophomore Talia Tossone won balance beam with a 9.850, the third time this season she has gone 9.8 or better.
• Senior Gretchen Kittelberger scored a 38.225 in her first event of the season in which she competed as an all-around competitor.
• Maryland had a season-high team score on vault, scoring a 48.60, the third time this season the Terps have scored above 48 on the event.

Looking Ahead
• The Terrapins host their final home event of the season on March 15 against Michigan, Pitt and Temple. The meet is slated for 4:00 p.m. at the Comcast Pavilion. Seniors Lindsey Bonomo and Kittelberger will be honored for their achievements at Maryland.
