Terps Tumble Talk

March 4, 2007

Hey Everyone,

I hope everyone is having an awesome week! This past weekend, we competed here at home against #16 Penn State. As I am sure you all know, we had some mistakes throughout the night, however we also had some strong points too. We started on vault. We hit 6 for 6 with a nice vault by Gretchen Kittelberger who stepped into the vaulting line up for the second time this season and by senior Angela Ferg who went 9.85 with a huge Yurchenko layout full. Then we headed to bars where we were lead by senior Rachel Colon. Beam was lead by freshmen Talia Tossone who had a gorgeous set going 9.8. Junior Gretchen Kittelberger who had a beautiful set and a strong 9.7 led us on floor. Although we had some mistakes throughout the evening we know what we need to fix and plan on going into the gym and working really hard to get back to where we want to go!

This past weekend was a very good learning experience for us all and we are determined to work extra hard in the gym the next couple of weeks. Our next meet is this coming Saturday March 10th against UNC. This should be a very exciting dual meet against a conference rival. It is also our last home meet of the season and a very special night as it is senior night/alumni night where we will honor our three seniors, Rachel Colon, Angela Ferg, and Marisa St. Louis. We are lead by a very strong and dedicated senior class and will be very excited to recognize them. As well it is alumni weekend, so all you alumni out there come support your lady terps as we recognize both you and our seniors.

We really look forward to the rest of the season, especially the EAGL Conference Championships as it is hosted by your very own lady terps and will be held in the main arena at Comcast! It should be a very exciting meet as 8 teams compete for the title of EAGL Champions, so come out on March 30th and support your TERPS!

As a freshman this year I have definitely seen this team grow and excel both academically and athletically and I know this team of girls will give it our all every chance we get. It has been a very exciting year so far and I look forward to the rest of our season and hope you do as well! Thank you all very much for your dedication and support and GO TERPS!

Sincerely,

Brandi George
