Frazer, Pope Selected to NFHCA Senior Game

The game will be played Nov. 17 at Old Dominion in Norfolk. Game time will be 3 p.m. This year's Senior Game participants will face off against the U.S. Women's National Team as well as against each other in a series of four (4), 25 minute sessions against the US National Team.
Frazer, a native of Derry, Northern Ireland, earned the nation's top individual honor last year in the Honda Award. The senior co-captain has 23 points on the season and is in the top 10 of the league in shots (56) and assists (7). She was named to the All-ACC Team earlier Wednesday.
Pope, who hails from Harrisburg, Pa., has five goals and five assists so far this season. She has been named to the NFHCA All-Academic Team and All-ACC Academic Teams in past seasons.
The third-seeded Terrapins (14-4, 3-2) will face the No. 6 seed, Duke (7-10, 0-5), Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in Chapel Hill, N.C. in ACC Tournament quarterfinal action.

The winner of the Maryland-Duke game will take on the No. 2 seed Virginia Friday at 3:30 p.m. in the semifinals. The championship game will be played Sunday, Nov. 4 at 1 p.m.
In their regular season matchup, the Terps beat the Blue Devils, 2-0 on Oct. 6 in College Park. Witmer and junior Ali McEvoy scored in the win, as the Terrapins' defense held Duke to just five shots.
ACC fans will be able to watch all six games of the championship. The semifinals on Friday and the final on Sunday will be broadcast on FOX Sports South, FOX Sports Florida, Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic, and NESN in the ACC footprint.
The entire tournament will be played at top-seeded North Carolina's Francis E. Henry Stadium. Single-day tickets are available for $5, and all-weekend tickets are $10. Students from an ACC school can enter for free with valid student identification.
The Terrapins have won nine ACC Championships, all under head coach Missy Meharg, including the 2009, 2010 and 2011 crowns.
