As a senior in 2010:
Only returning member of Terrapin defense...served as co-captain...anchored the Terps for their second consecutive 23-1 season, ACC Championship and NCAA Championship...started all 24 games in the backline...notched a defensive save against UMass in NCAA First Round (Nov. 13)...named to the All-Mid Atlantic Region Second Team...recipient of team's Kateri Simon Award, which is given to the athlete that has persevered in times of adversity and has displayed courage while bringing positive energy to all team sessions and contributing daily to the successes as a championship team...recipient of ACC Postgraduate scholarship...named to ACC's All-Academic Team.
As a redshirt junior in 2009:
One of the team's strongest defenders...notched first career defensive save in Terp's 3-2 win over #4 Wake Forest in ACC semifinals (Nov. 6)...had one assist in Terps' win over #20 Old Dominion (Oct. 16) and at #2 North Carolina (Oct. 24)...started all but one against Drexel in NCAA Second Round (Nov. 15) after suffering an injury in the previous game (American, First Round Nov. 14)...anchored Terrapin defense that allowed just 33 goals on the year and averaged 1.38 per game...defense did not give up any goals in overtime periods...member of first Maryland team to earn 23-1 record and 18-0 regular season record...part of ACC Championship team and NCAA finalist team...named to ACC's Academic Honor Roll.
As a redshirt sophomore in 2008:
Saw time in 11 games, including five starts, before being sidelined with a knee injury for the second half of the season...recorded her first collegiate point in the 10-1 victory over Northwestern on Sept. 14, dishing out an assist...picked up her second assist in the win over Richmond on Sept. 28...named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad.
As a redshirt freshman in 2007:
Made her first-career appearance in a Maryland uniform in the season opener vs. Central Michigan (Aug. 26), after spending her freshman season sidelined because of an injury...saw playing time in eight games overall, including the 4-0 ACC win over No. 19 Virginia (Sept. 29) and in the 5-0 NCAA Tournament win over No. 10 Old Dominion (Nov. 10)...was rewarded for her effort, making her first-career start against Villanova (Oct. 26)...named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad for the second-consecutive year.
As a freshman in 2006:
Redshirted the championship season rehabbing an injury suffered prior to her arrival in College Park...named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad.
A four-year starter on the Grosse Pointe H.S. field hockey squad...a four-time all-state pick, earning first team honors three times...she led the Blue Devils to the state quarterfinals as a freshman...scored 21 goals and had 15 assists as a senior...also played two seasons of varsity ice hockey, garnering Miss Michigan Hockey as a senior...all-state in ice hockey twice and tallied 28 goals and 17 assists in her final campaign...participated in the USFHA's Futures program in 2005 and 2006...a three-year letterwinner in soccer, was named second team all-state as a sophomore...member of the track team as a senior, breaking a 20-year old school record in the 200m dash, running a 26.2...also runs a 12.8 in the 100m dash and a 62.2 in the 400m dash.
Double major in marketing and operations management...member of Sports Management Fellows Program at the Smith School of Business...member of Student-Athlete Advisory Council...four-year Scholar Athlete...lists Nicklas Lindstrom of the NHL's Detroit Red Wings as her favorite athlete...the youngest of four children of Lesley and Lon Morawski...has three older brothers: Colin, Lukas and Taylor...Alicia Morawski was born in Grosse Pointe, Mich.
