Before Maryland: All-county performer in field hockey at Watkins Mill, as selected by the Montgomery Gazette and Montgomery Journal … named her team’s most valuable player twice, as a junior and senior … totaled 48 goals in her high school career … a member of the swim team in high school, where her events were the 100 meter breast stroke, the 50/100 m freestyle and the 100 meter individual medley … also played lacrosse.

Personal: Born May 20, 1984 … Leah is the daughter of Barbara Harner and Anthony Kerlavage … has one sister, Sarah (22) … an honors student and member of the National Honor Society … majoring in early childhood education.
