On Gorewitz: Will compete for a starting position in the backfield her playing time increased dramatically her sophomore year has some of the best ball control and tackling skills on the team. 1998 season: Saw action in 14 games and started three times. 1997 season: A reserve on the backline played in seven games. Before Maryland: A two-time Washington Post first-team All-Met selection named All-County by the Montgomery Journal her junior and senior seasons led Walter Johnson to the state playoffs her final two seasons as a junior, she was selected to the United States Field Hockey Association's (USFHA's) Chesapeake Region Future's Under-19 team as a senior, her Future's team won the gold medal competed in the AAU Junior Olympics in 1995 also played soccer in the spring and was named All-County by the Montgomery Journal her senior season.
